Warning signs to slow down for
- You cannot view the property because the supposed landlord is away.
- A deposit is required before a viewing or a normal lease process.
- Urgency or a low price is used to make independent checks feel risky.
Safer checks you can make
- View the property and confirm who is authorized to rent it.
- Look up ownership or management details independently.
- Do not wire money or send a deposit to secure a property you have not verified.
