Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and TrustShield, a sole proprietorship based in Pennsylvania, USA ("TrustShield", "we", "us"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use TrustShield.

TrustShield looks for common warning signs of scams in messages, links, and screenshots you choose to submit, and explains what it finds. Results are estimates. TrustShield cannot guarantee that anything is safe, authentic, or fraudulent, and a "no obvious signs" result is not a promise that a message is legitimate.

TrustShield is not legal, financial, or security advice, and it does not contact anyone, open links, recover money, or report incidents on your behalf. Always confirm requests through a channel you already trust before sending money or information.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and only an adult can purchase a paid plan. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it.

• Submit only content you are allowed to share, and do not include passwords, one-time codes, or full card numbers.
• Do not use TrustShield to create, test, or improve scams, or to harass anyone.
• Do not try to break, overload, scrape, or get around the limits of the service.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service to you, as described in Privacy & safety. We do not sell your submissions or use them to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent.

The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout.

You can cancel any time from Settings › Billing. Cancellation stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund policy. If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

We may add, change, or remove features as TrustShield develops. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; you can delete your account at any time from Settings.

TrustShield is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for losses caused by scams, by decisions you make based on a result, or by interruptions to the service.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to TrustShield is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you have not paid us anything.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will notify account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use TrustShield after that means you accept the updated terms.
